Drawing of the Right Side of the Brain

In my desire to improve my drawing skills, I purchased the book "Drawing on the right side of the Brain" written by Betty Edwards. I decided to take it with me on my vacation and use it. Two days ago I did my first "Pre-instruction drawing. A portrait of myself. I also had a time limit of an hour so I didn't quite finish it. The face is too round and the nose a tad long but the eyes seem close. It wasn't easy but I'm glad I did it.

I still have to do a pre-instructional picture of someone I know from memory and my hand.
Till then have a great summer
